Before there was Honor Blackman, Halle Berry, Maud Adams, Eva Green, or even Lois Maxwell, there was Linda Christian, a 31-year-old Mexican actress who had the distinction of being the very first Bond girl (as well as the second wife of screen legend Tyrone Power). Christian died July 22, 2011, in Palm Springs, Calif., but she left her mark on Hollywood — and in LIFE magazine.
